World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The upgrade feature for items lets players upgrade their equipment. This can be accomplished by any item upgrade r NPC.
Generally upgrades increase an items main stat and can give it additional benefits based on the type. Examples include Whistan’s shield for FB Sorcs, and Goldwraps for casting builds.

Armour
Armour is one of the main factors that keep Link safe from harm in all situations. While it cannot be upgraded like weapons, it is able to be improved in different ways to improve its defence capabilities.
Armour is designed to shield animals and people from harm or injury, whether it's from a direct physical attack or a variety of environmental or activity hazards. In the past, most armour was made from fabrics or leather, however metal protections were also employed in military applications, particularly like heavy cavalry or combat drones.
There are many ways to upgrade armour however the majority require you to visit one of the four Great Fairy Fountains scattered throughout Hyrule. Each fountain offers a different level of upgrade with higher levels of protection requiring more rupees and materials.
The first thing to remember about Armor Upgrades is that they are permanent upgrades which means that after they've been put in place, they can't be replaced unless you own another piece of equipment that has the same upgrade. It is important that you only apply the most effective level of upgrades to your equipment and that you have enough of the materials needed to complete the upgrade.
When it comes to acquiring the necessary upgrade components, you'll find them in various locations around Hyrule such as shrines, merchants and even enemies. These are usually marked by the blue triangle or gold circle symbol. They are found in huge quantities as you progress. While they may appear randomly, there is a chance that acquiring certain upgrade components will result in a quest that will reward you with more.
It's also worth noting that even though the amount of protection offered by each upgrade differs, it is the same across all upgrades and will always be superior to nothing. A complete set of upgraded armor will give you a high-defense boost that will protect against all kinds of attacks and will also protect against magic. This makes it a formidable weapon for all classes.
Weapons
If you're looking to make your guns truly distinctive, you can upgrade them with a variety of special upgrades. These can increase damage, change the weapon's stats in order to adapt to your build or even unlock new attachments like unique enchantments, ammo types and other options for aesthetics.
You'll require both the upgrade component as well as the weapon itself to upgrade it. The weapon should also be at or above a certain point for the upgrade to take effect and most weapons can only take one upgrade at a time.
Weapon upgrade components can be found all over the world, from a variety of sources, including merchants or enemies. Upgrade components are made up of ingredients that you can put into weapons, armors trinkets, tools for gathering and other items to earn an attribute bonus. They require equipment to be of a certain degree to allow the upgrade. They can be upgraded in the same way as other items.
The upgrades themselves are a mixture of Smithing Stones and Runes, and are used to improve the stats of the base weapon and improving its scaling with other stats. These upgrades are available from enemies in the open or from merchants. They can also be dropped by combat.
Two NPCs can enhance your weapon: Blacksmith Hewg, located in the Roundtable Hold hub zone and the Smithing Master Iji, in the Road to Manor hub zone. Both of these NPCs accept your Smithing Stones or Runes to upgrade your weapon.
It's crucial to prioritise upgrading your top-of-the-line items first, followed by those you won't be replacing in the near future. Upgrade your weapon first, and then upgrade your chest, shoulders hands, feet, and hands when you are planning to play an asymmetrical build. The same principle goes for Magic and Utility Items, with the caveat that some items may be better than others depending on your playstyle. The same is true for Armour, with some reforges being better than others.
Magic Items
A character is able to upgrade only one item of magic. If an upgrade project is cancelled and the next upgrade for the item will not start. Upgraded magic items cost twice as much gold to make or purchase, but can provide other benefits.
A magical item could be any item with special properties or effects. These are usually weapons, but they can also be armors, shields and cloaks, as well as potions. They can also be rings, scrolls, or other items. Certain of these items can be made to speak.
The majority of magic items enhance their capabilities. This makes them more useful for a player, or it could help them conquer an especially difficult challenge. A weapon that is infused can provide bonuses to damage against a particular kind of enemy, for example. This is particularly useful for characters who have reached a point at which they'll likely encounter the same kind of monster in dungeons over and over again.
An infused ring might confer protection against piercing, bludgeoning or slashing damages from nonmagical attacks (not including silvered ones) until the next time the character is taking a long rest. This is particularly useful for melee martial characters or anyone looking to avoid purchasing a shield.
Some enchanted objects have special powers that allow the character to cast spells that aren't on their class list. This can be useful for a character who has trouble filling their spell slots because of multiclassing. These items with enchanted abilities generally require an Intelligence (Arcana) check to use, and the spell cast is determined by rolling a table based on the number of Intelligence points spent.
Other objects that are enchanted can allow the player's appearance to be changed, or they could even create a new appearance. These items can be especially useful for characters who have been forced to leave their home or located in an area in which they are not welcome. A magical item could provide them with invisibility or make them invisible to everyone, except for the chosen person.
Utility Items
Utility items are anything that isn't part of the categories of Clothing or Armor and come with a range of capabilities. Utility items aren't compatible with each other, in contrast to weapons or armor. The majority of utility items have a passive effect that the player can activate when using them, however, some come with additional capabilities that activate when the user presses the button or activates a skill.
The Flashlight is the most common accessory. It illuminates the surrounding area. Other options include the Helicopter Hat and Rocket Boots, which allow the player to float in the air while moving and the Jetpack which allows the player to accelerate in any direction while on the ground. A variety of utility items can be instantly manufactured in the Engineering section, while others are unlockable through research projects or experimental projects in the Proving Ground.
Players can unlock more powerful utility items in addition to the ones available in their regular inventory by purchasing them from the Atomic Shop or from seasonal Scoreboard rewards. Some of these items can be upgraded to make them more effective.
Most utility items enhance the combat ability of a particular character or give the player a kind of advantage when it comes to navigation. For instance, Sharpening stones created by the Weaponsmith increase Power and Ferocity as well as Maintenance Oils created by the Huntsman increase the power of concentration and healing. Other useful items, such as Writs and Theses crafted by the Scribe, can be used to give players either an increase in Damage or Condition Damage.
All XCOM soldiers are capable of equipping one utility item at the beginning of the campaign. Eventually, an additional slot can be obtained by equipping certain types of armor or by completing engineering, research or experimental projects in the Proving Ground. In the Alien Hunters DLC, additional slots are made available by equipping the Grenade Launcher, which allows the player to equip a Smoke Grenade or Bomb in another grenade slot. an offensive grenade is equipped in the main grenade slot.
